Cannonball Kids' cancer is expanding its reach internationally with a new £50,000 ($67,000) commitment to fund a clinical trial grant for the Schiehallion Clinical Trials Center at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, Scotland. The grant will allow for the addition of a clinical trials coordinator who will focus on obtaining necessary approvals and maintaining compliance to facilitate the rapid opening of studies enabling an increase in early phase clinical trials available to children who are diagnosed and treated for cancer at the center. The grant will fund the newly created position for one year.
Donations go directly towards funding pediatric cancer research projects to make better treatments for kids battling cancer so they may not endure the horrific pain or develop secondary cancers associated with their treatment.
