Hepatoblastoma Clinical Research Grant

Cannonball Kids’ cancer is funding a first-of-its-kind research grant on a deadly pediatric cancer called hepatoblastoma (HB), the most common primary liver tumor in children. HB remains one of the most difficult childhood tumors to treat. Many children have disease that is resistant to standard treatments that will require novel, innovative, and targeted combinatorial therapies to effectively treat or manage their disease. The research is being conducted by Dr. Elizabeth Beierle at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. There are currently no trials available for hepatoblastoma. Funding this research further demonstrates CKc’s dedication to our mission and our commitment to seeking out novel and innovative research.
