The Role of PIM3 Protein in Hepatoblastoma Resistance to Chemotherapy
Layman’s summary
Dr. Beierle and her lab team have made the novel observation that a protein called PIM3 affects Hepatoblastoma cells, making them more susceptible to chemotherapy resistance. PIM3 inhibitors are currently in clinical trials for adults and could be rapidly advanced for use in pediatrics if further preclinical studies are conducted to justify such trials.
