Dr. Michael Ortiz Young Investigator’s Grant at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
Layman’s summary
This grant will allow Dr. Ortiz to begin finalizing and securing funding for his proposed phase 1 clinical trial investigating the role of GPC3 in relapsed and refractory solid pediatric tumors, such as hepatoblastoma, germ cell tumors, Wilms tumor, and rhabdoid tumors. In addition, this award will protect more of Dr. Ortiz’s time in the lab, researching cures for pediatric cancer.
