Santiago Estevez Upfront and Progressive Brain Tumor Immunotherapy Trial

Project Title

Pediatric Phase 2 Studies Using Indoximod with Chemotherapy and Radiation for Children with Advanced Brain Cancer

Layman’s summary

This new, Phase 2 study, tests the hypothesis that treatment with indoximod will enhance the effects of conventional chemotherapy and radiation in children with recurrent brain tumors, or with newly-diagnosed DIPG. It also includes a compassionate-use study that provides indoximod-based therapy to children and young adults with progressive brain cancer who would otherwise not qualify for the Phase 2 trial, including patients who have less common tumors, are unable to swallow whole pills, and who may wish to try using indoximod in combination with additional chemotherapy options.
