CKc Hosts 9th Annual Gold Gala
On May 18, Cannonball Kids’ cancer Foundation held its 9th annual Gold Gala, where more than 250 attendees convened to party with a purpose while supporting pediatric cancer research.
“At CKc, our ultimate goal is to create safe, effective treatments for all childhood cancers,” said Dana Nichols, executive director for Cannonball Kids’ cancer Foundation. “Each year, I am overwhelmed with gratitude by the way our community steps up to help families across the country who have been personally affected by pediatric cancer. It’s a wonderful display of compassion and commitment to make a change.”
In 2023, CKc invested more than $1 million in research grants, including $530,000 awarded to new projects to be paid out over the next three years. Each year, the Gold Gala is the catalyst for this funding.
“Children are our future, and there is no better cause than to take care of them,” added 2024 Gold Gala Co-chairs Nicholas and Michelle Norden.
