Dr. Cash’s trial provides a potentially life-extending, tumor-stabilizing treatment option for children with no curative options remaining. By combining a variety of oral medications, including immunotherapy and low dose chemotherapy, patients are able to spend most of their time outside the hospital because of simple drug administration and fewer side effects than typical treatment regimens.
