When most people think of Orlando, Florida, they think of sunshine, theme parks, and vacation dreams. But nestled in this vibrant city is the headquarters of a nonprofit that’s working tirelessly to change the world for kids battling cancer: Cannonball Kids’ cancer Foundation (CKc).

While our heart beats in Orlando, our mission knows no borders.

Funding Where It Matters Most

One of the most powerful things about CKc is that our funding follows the science. We don’t limit our support to institutions in our backyard; instead, we seek out and fund the most promising, cutting-edge research—no matter where it’s happening.

To date, CKc has awarded $4.5 million dollars in research funding to institutions in over 30 states and multiple countries, including Canada, Scotland, and Switzerland. From new clinical trials to promising lab-based breakthroughs, our grants are expanding options and extending lives.

This national and international approach means that children—regardless of where they live—have a better chance of accessing the treatment they need, when they need it most.

Why It Matters

Pediatric cancer is the #1 disease killer of children in the U.S. At CKc, we believe every child deserves the chance not just to survive—but to thrive. And we know that meaningful progress won’t happen if we fund research by geography instead of potential.

That’s why we proudly fund groundbreaking work at leading institutions across the country and around the world. Because when it comes to curing childhood cancer, we don’t draw lines on a map.

Funding in your backyard

CKc supports research at hospitals, universities, and research centers across the globe. CKc has funded $1.15 million into research projects in the West Coast Region including the following cities:
